I am a compassionate and patient person who enjoys helping others. I have experience caring for elderly and disabled individuals, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. I take pride in providing emotional support and ensuring my clients feel comfortable and respected. I chose caregiving because I have a natural desire to help people. I find it fulfilling to make a positive difference in someone’s life, especially when they need support to maintain their independence and dignity. I have worked with clients who needed assistance with personal care, medication reminders, and companionship during my student practicals. Currently I’m working with a client who has Dimentia. I’ve also supported individuals with mobility challenges and memory loss, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Clients do vary so it is important for me to know how to deal with certain situations. I remain calm, patient, and understanding. I try to identify the cause of their frustration and communicate respectfully. Building trust and showing empathy often helps to ease tension and improve cooperation. That is what makes me a different carer.
